One of my earliest memories is from when I was 3 years old, and I was lying in bed wondering exactly what it meant to have Jesus in your heart. When I asked one of my parents during story time, they explained to me that having Jesus in your heart means that you invite him into your life and become his friend. I thought this sounded good so that night I said a prayer to Jesus and asked him to come into my heart.
Since then I have never regretted making that decision, and am convinced it is the best thing I have ever done. I am so grateful that my parents have brought me up in a Christian home, guiding me in my faith and being there to answer my hundreds of questions. They encouraged me to go to Church regularly, where over the years I have had the best times and made many great friends.
When I was 12 I went camping at a Christian festival called soul survivor with my parents. Here I witnessed for the first time, thousands of other young Christians praising and worshiping God and being filled with the Holy Spirit, as well as hundreds of non-Christians meeting with God for the first time. It was incredible to see people getting healed, and to hear other people’s testimonies. I went back every year and it really strengthened my walk with God, and was a real encouragement.
I want other people to know that I have Jesus in my heart. You never know what could happen tomorrow, and if you know that you want to be good for God and have your sins forgiven, then now is a good a time as any to show people that!
