I was born and brought up in London. I never went to church as a boy or as I grew up.
I had no interest in spiritual things.

I married Pam in 1981 and we moved to Witney in 1982.

Pam started to go to Welcome church in Witney. I dropped her off and then I picked her up after.
One day I thought I’d give it a try and so I stopped at church with Pam. We went for about 9 months.

When Oasis started we decided to try that because it was only about 200 yards from our house. As soon as I went in it felt really friendly and was quite different (especially Gary’s shirts!)

On our first visit, the day Oasis started at Ceewood in November, I was asked if I would like to be prayed for. I had a bad foot. I had been bitten by something in the garden in September. I had lots of pills from the doctor including 3 lots of anti-biotics. Nothing had helped. Also I had just been made redundant. I was prayed for. My foot started to feel better and by the next weekend it was completely healed. Although I have not had a permanent job, I have not been out of work. I have had various agency jobs one after the other.

These two things helped me believe. I know that Jesus died on the cross for my sins and I have asked Him into my life.
