I went to church as a little girl but I didn't really understand what was being said or done. It was a very formal church and a bit boring.

A few years ago I suffered from bad depression and was on medication. I tried various things including acupuncture, reflexology and hypnotism but none of these things helped. I even tried cannabis once and that was enough - it was horrendous. I thought I was going to die. So I do encourage you to stay clear of that.

During this time I visited Harnhill Christian Healing Centre. They encouraged me to keep praying which I was doing every day. My depression lasted on and off for 14 years. I have been free of it for the last 6 years.

In the summer of 2000 my daughter Caroline invited us to Oasis. We found Oasis to be very friendly, relaxed and informal. And for the first time I understood that Jesus had died for my sins. I decided that I wanted to follow Jesus. I feel that God has made me a stronger person and I know He is always with me.

I want to be baptised, as this is my next step in my walk with God. This is a big step for me as I have a fear of being under water. So Gary has been told to make it quick!
