About two years ago, I had a bout of cystitus which I have had on and off since I was a teenager. As I recognised the symptoms, I wasn't too concerned, so I started taking the usual remedies, which was drinking lots of water and cranberry juice.
As this time the symptoms didn't subside, I thought a visit to the doctor was in order. I was prescribed antibiotics which I took according to the instructions, along with the cranberry juice and water. However, after completing the course, I still was left with the contant pain of cystitus.
By this time, I was convinced I must have a bladder infection. After trying yet another course of antibiotics which, again didn't work, I asked the doctor if I could have a scan to see what else was wrong. A scan of my bladder was taken at the hospital to which nothing could be found. I felt I must be a hypochondriac, although the pain was real and constant.
After suffering for a year and an half, I went to the Oasis church, as usual one Sunday morning. As the service ended, healing by prayer was offered for anyone wanting to go forward. I decided it would be worth a try. I was prayed for my condition, and although I suppose I expected immediate results, I was slightly disappointed when they didn't come. However, after a few days it dawned on me that I was no longer in pain. That feeling has continued now for six months with no reoccurance!
This proves to me that the power of prayer is so real and when all else fails, it never will!
